Thumbs down Distributor Wobble and Rubbing

My truck had been missing a lot recently, and I decided to stop being cheap, and go get a distributor cap and rotor.

After installation, there is no miss. But I have other problems now. My distributor dances all over the place. The engine stays still, but my distributor shakes around like its about to fly off. When the truck is off, the distributor is solid as a rock. There are also metal shavings from the rotor/contacts hitting inside the cap. The rotor was the right size and everything, but still didn't fit exactly right. Could I have bent something? Maybe I need to push the rotor on even farther? The wobbling doesn't bother me nearly as much as the metal shavings, but I'm sure the wobble isn't good either. Anybody else experience this? My old cap and rotor are covered in carbon, but don't have any physical damage that I am aware of.

I have always had to pry my rotor off and exert abnormal force to seat it correctly. I believe there is a problem with the distributers that were used in this years production as all manufacturers rotors including Mopar fit this tightly.

SEAL, you were right. I took the rotor off, and sanded off the inside some so it sits farther down the shaft. Now its fine.
