Default Adjusting a Carter AFB Carburetor

Hi All,

I'm helping a buddy tune his 1976 Dodge PowerWagon with a Stock 440 BB. Anyone know an easy way to tune his Carter AFB 4-barrel carb. It is currently running on a rich fuel mixture and turned the mixture screws out trying to lean it out some but it seems to have made it worse. Thanks.

Turning the mixture screws out would make it run richer. That is how they work. Turn them in to lean it out.
