Default tire size vs lift size

What is the biggest tires I can Fit under my 89 w250 with a 4in lift with out trimming my fenders

I have a 93 w250 with 4 inch lift and have no problem with 285/75-16.
I chose this size because it is tall, 10 ply and not too wide.
Some tire dealers will mount a tire for you, to check fit if you want a larger tire.
(after all they want to make that sale on that $ 200.00 + tire)

Just checked the Superlift catalog, and they claim that we can only run a 34''
tire with a 4'' lift on a 69 to 93 Dodge
