Default noise ??

i have been working on my 93 d150 5.2 for a few months now.
i was installing radiator, waterpump, timing chain and gears, all went well.
my weird question is; while turning over engine by hand,on crank bolt, to line up timing dots, when i got them to line up,i stopped turning, but engine was making noise, like in the valve train may be tension on valve springs??
it has 127,000 ran good before these upgrades.
prior to adding these parts, when it was cooling down after a run,it would also make the same weird noise, should i be worried??
it runs like new,has tons of power, and no noises now? why no noise now when cooling down? also can turn over by hand and no noise.
just curious about this thank you

Engines make noise when cooling due to metal contraction. With a new radiator and water pump it may not be getting as hot as it used to.

No noise is good noise. Enjoy it.
