Question Outer Axle Shafts

Hey guys, howdy from Union Dale, PA. Anyone know where to find passenger outer axle shafts for a Dana 44 front axle? I'm not sure what they are both called , but it's the axle's that go through the steering knuckle where the U-Joint connects . At the moment, my truck is 3 wheel drive .

You didn't tell us what year but they are called stub shafts. You might want to hunt around for the best price but here is one site.

Sorry about that , not exactly sure what year because before I bought the truck the previous owner swapped out the 225 and put in a 360 so I have not a clue what is original or not . The truck itself was/is a 1986 though . How would I tell ?

For an 86 with an original Dana 44 the site I gave you has the shafts you are looking for. For that year they are calling the stub shafts, OUTER AXLE SHAFTS. For a 97 the same part is called a stub shaft at the same site. Go figure?

Thank you , I appreciate it . As soon as I get the garage in order I'll order it , should be sometime this week . Are these tough to install ? Me and my buddy put new ball joints in his El Camino , that was fun When I find my Hayne's manual maybe it'll show me how .

The passengers side is pretty straight forward but the drivers side is more involved due to the vacuum disconnect.
