I run 31s but have never heard of 31s as a stock tire size. Why do you believe 31s were stock? Look at the drivers side door jam for the stock tire size.

I have a stock height 84 D250 with the HD suspension (factory camper special) and I run 31x10.5x16.5 fine. Rarely my front tires will rub a little over a bump if I'm turning (like in a parking lot with a pothole).

I cleared 33's fairly easily when my truck was stock height. I had a little rub on the DS but other than that it was fairly easy. I have since lifted it and put 35's on.
