ac recharge
hi all,my r12 system did work its just low on freon. i finally got a hold of a can of r12,just to top it off. does anyone know which port is the low or fill side on a 93 d150 5.2?? cant find a hose with can tap for r12, going to put 134a adapters on the r12 fittings on the truck,then use the 134a hose with can tap will this work?? thank you

The low pressure side is the line that goes from the compressor to the evaporator in the heater box. It is for gas only so charge with the can upright. I use an A/C manifold gauge set and therefore cannot answer the charging hose question for sure but if you can securely connect the can to the system with a shut off/control valve in the line it should work.
