Choking Out When Cold
Didn't have time to warm it up & run the second round of tests yesterday. I might just replace the temp sensor first, as it's the cheaper one & see if that fixes it.
Now where to purchase....

Hey Guys,
Replaced the CTS and it didn't help. It's being a total bitch now that it's actually cold here (mid-20s during the day): when cold it stalls almost anytime you put your foot into it more than 1/4 throttle, and pretty much always from a stop. It's practically undrivable until it's fully warmed up (which takes absolutely forever as it has a brand new cooling system...); it takes me 10-15min of city driving to get it warmed up.
Any other help or ideas out there? I'm really at a loss as to what to check next...

I have a 92 W250 318mpfi engine which has a hesitation problem from a stop(does not stall). Did several tests nothing really helped. My mechanic neighbor said that if you look down into the trottlebody there is a pan at the bottom inside(use a flashlight). If you see oil laying on top of the pan you probably have a bad gasket. This causes you to suck in extra air so the engine I suppose is starved for gas. Don't know if this will help but he said the 318 has this common problem. I didn't have oil but still have hesitation.
