Default 92 Dodge D350 towing capacity?

Hello,

I've been looking for a good truck to pull my car / utility trailer (18' flat bed, with 2" ball hitch). The trailer fully loaded would weigh about 12,000 pounds, but I've never put anywhere near this on there, due to my small trucks. I mainly use this to pull loads of wood, cars, small tractors, and more recently, a quite heavy bobcat (~7000lbs). All I've got to pull this myself is a 89 short-bed S10 with a 350, and my brother's 2000 Dodge 1500 short bed when I can borrow it. Needless to say pulling the bobcat 4 miles with the 1/2 ton truck was scary enough, and any further distances are out of the question.

Anyhow, I've found a 1992 Dodge D350 1-ton pickup for sale with a 5.9L (360) fuel-injected engine in it, auto transmission w/ overdrive, standard cab, long bed, 2x4 (not a dually). I can't seem to find any information about it's capacities online. I want to know how much weight I can put on the hitch in the back (tongue weight?) and how much weight I can pull with it (trailer+load). Can anyone tell me where I could find this info? Also, would it be comfortable to tow with over long distances? What about as a daily driver over the winter here in ohio?

On various places on the internet, I have found GVWRs of 8700 and 10100, which are quite different. So I still don't know what to believe, or how that translates into what I can tow.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Look at the VIN for the vehicle. The forth position will be the GVWR of that vehicle. (L=9001-10000 M=10001-14000 any letter lower than these is even less load) You also need to figure out what class hitch is on it.
