Looks like a slick tool. The problem is it won't allow you to check the shaft, that the seal rides on, for scoring that is quite common in older 727s. If the shaft is scored a new seal may not fix the leak but it might be worth a try. Dropping the pan also allows you to change the fluid/filter and adjust the low/reverse bands if you don't know when these things were last done.

Maybe`I'm just too cheap to spend $35.00 bucks for what is probably a one use tool. LOL
