Default lift question

a couple months ago i put a four inch lift on my pickup with blocks in the rear. to do this i double blocked it. everything works good and the blocks hold to offroading

i am wondering could i reversed the shackels on the back springs and take out the lift blocks? would it function properly and give me the right higth?

i've heard going with blocks allows better flexability than new rear leaf springs, but could be potentially dangerous to double block. so hopefully this will give me the best of both.[sm=goodidea.gif]?
