Question Speed Sensor Location?

I've just inherited my son's 1994 Dodge 4x4 and the speed-o-meter doesn't work. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is at. I've found two, one is on the drivers side on the trans ( a three pronger ) and the other is a bolt on job on the transfer case. Which one does what?

You have a second Generation Ram. You need to post on the 2nd Gen Ram site where I am sure they will help you. My 89 is in the transfer case as I assume yours would be. The transfer case is a gear reduction devise. If it were in the transmission it would not read this reduction properly and your speed-o-meter would be incorrect when in low. (when the speed-o-meter worked, LOL) The 3 pronger in the trans is the neutral safety/back up switch.

Thank you. My son had added some device to read the big tire rotation from the transfer case. Now all I need is a replacement switch to match the one that he put in there. LOL right?
