Unhappy proportioning valve

where the hell can you buy a new proportioning valve. been all over the web and not finding anything. i have a 1988 w100 318

When you find out let me know.I too haven't had any luck. I'm thinking maybe going to a dealership. That's the only place I ain't tried. i likely have to morgage my house.

Stock valve more a metering block than propportioning valve, use a Wilwood, Summit or some other aftermarket proportioning valve.

Proportioning valves are specific to vehicle weight and front to rear weight ratio. If you get an after market valve be sure it is adjustable so that you can tune it to your truck.

I know that if you get used you just don't know if it will work,but if you go to Car-part.com and look up a brake booster you might find a yard close to you that might have one. Just a Thought

before you do that, check that the rear brake adjuster cable is in the right spot. it is a ring on mine. and it goes on the boss behind the rear brake shoes. I went through front rotors for years before discovering this. many, many brake mechanics missed it.
