Default Dash and running lights went out... brake/turn lights fine?

Parked my truck at a restaurant and came back 45 min later. Started it up, pulled the ****... and just headlights; no dash lights.

I get out and check my lights and all that's on are my headlights.

Directionals and brakes work fine. That's the part that has me stumped.

Any ideas?

Yeah I'm going to do that before leaving for work today. This was last night. I wasn't leaning towards a fuse due to the fact that the blinkers and brake lights still work. Are the dash lights on a different fuse?

My #8 was blown, 25A. Put a new one in, dash lights worked, everything great.

Get to work and the dash lights don't work again.

Great I have some weird short.... sigh. Didn't cause it to blow right away whatever it is.

Check the wiring under the bed for the brakes and license plate lights. Someone plugged my connectors into themselves so whenever istepped on the brake the fuse would blow
