Default 85 Dodge W150 SCC Removal

Hello
Weve got an 85 dodge w150 4x4 318ci we just purchased it and truck is running terrible. we want to know how to elimate the SCC and change the ignition system over to the older version of the electronic ignition without purchasing the mopar electronic ignition kit. that costs too much. we want to purchase all the components of the ignition system at our local parts store but we are unsure of what year truck has the system we want to convert ours to. we want the distributor to have vacuum to it and we will eliminate the feedback carburetor. can anybody chime in and tell us what specific year we should order. like what year didnt have the SCC. We also want to make sure we go as far back as to eliminate the lean burn system totally. basically the simple ignition system i guess. to eliminate that damn computer in the fender wall.
*Stuff that we've already done to the truck- Cat has been eliminated - mopar shorty headers installed - Y-pipe going back into a single exhaust . We want to know how to eliminate the EGR valve and run the least amount of vacuum items as possible. also eliminate the charcoal filter as well.

they used 2 different systems on these trucks but it is just a matter of which one came with the truck. my 81 d150 and 87 b250 had no computer. it would be easiest if you could find the another truck to get the parts off of. the main thing you would need to make this work is the wiring harness. you don't need a vacuum advance to get the truck running good. i don't know about removing the egr. it all depends on where you live and the laws around emissions and inspections.
