Why bother? Nice aftermarket CD decks can be found on Craigslist for $25 or so. Brand new you can get one for $99... and factory Chrysler decks are a dime a dozen!

And this guy sells TONS of used OEM and aftermarket stuff: http://stores.ebay.com/LKQonline

i heard Delco put out a nice clean sound and i don't have a $100 to spend on a stereo. i just spent $300 on 4 brand new tires for the 81 and i still won't be able to afford to get it on the road till January. plus the speaker in the drivers side door is making some funny noises so i know it will need to be replaced. i ended up installing the delco yesterday and it was a tight fit but it is in there. the only thing that sucks is that there is no constant power wire so i have to enter the security code every time i use the radio until i add a constant power wire.

Depends on the year. Anything pre mid 1990s Delco is crap. They put out around 12w per channel and they weren't very clean sounding.

You can put any radio into any car... just need the radio pigtail with enough wire and the pinout (can find here: http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/GM-Wiring.asp)

As for mounting... depends how nice you want it to look!

i think it is from a 2000 or newer. i already have it installed and except for the 1 bad speaker it sounds good. the only problem is you can't access the tape drive, eject button or the recall button because they end up behind the plastic. i have all the wiring diagrams from install dr website printed out for easy access.
