Default front axle seals

On my 91 w150 I'm replacing both upper and lower on both sides and both rotors but the more pull off the more problems I find lol. First the drive side hub was wasted cause the locking nut backed off and chewed it up. The driver side spindle is chewed up also on the outer threads. After all that was replaced I came to the seals that go from the pumpkin to the axle tubes. Do u have to remove the diff cover and caps to put the seals in or do u push them through the tube to the diff. Basically do the seals go in from the outside in or from the inside out? Also about the spindle the only one I could find locally says its for a Chevy 1/2 Dana 44 with a 6 bolt mounting pattern. Supposedly its the same for a dodge. Anyone know about. Also when I pulled the axles from the tubes the driver side is thicker then the passenger side. I thought this was normal since the driver side is farther from the pumpkin but just wanna make sure. Sorry for dragging on lol thanks

first of all are the seals showing sign of leaking, in all the trucks I have had with dana 44 I never had to change the seals so if they are not leaking leave them alone. I cant be sure what there location is but have assumed they were installed from inside the diff cover. secondly MOST parts are interchangeable from dana axles no matter what make truck they are out of and the spindle SHOULD work IF the dimensions are the same keep in mind the 44 was used in both 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks so you would have to make sure it comes off what ever size truck you have. does you truck have the vaccum disconnet on the axle?

The driver side inner axle seal is leaking right past the pneumatic actuator and they do go in from the inside. That was the easy part the spindle was a pain in the ***. The gm spindle doesn't work because the bearings and hubs are different. I'm putting in manual hubs in cause the auto ones are garbage.

go with Warn hubs and if your acuator desides to go you can replace the 2 piece axle with a 1 piece, dodge said it wouldn't work but thay wanted my money and you don't need it with lock out hubs
