Default Evaporator Box Leaking (1998 5.9)

I realize this may be the drain clogged, but has anybody encountered a leaking box itself? Also, is air blowing the water back into the box really an issue? Thanks

Unless you have been running the A/C lately the leak is probably the heater core. I have never seen water blow back into the box.

I live in Florida, so I am using the A/C. Also, if it were the heater core, I would smell anti freeze, but it's just clear water.

In the face of that info it appears that you need to clean the drain tube. On mine you can just pull the fan motor and clean out the box and I think yours is the same.

By the way a 1998 is a second gen dodge so any future questions should go in that forum. It is much more active also.
