hi all i have my 87 dodge ram d150 and my passenger side window wont roll down it sounds like the gears are rusted stuck, i sprayed it down with some wd40 to try and free the gears but no luck and i cant see how i would get at these parts with the window up so is there another way to accsess these parts with the glass up?

 

really common problem. the tracks in the door need to greased so that the window can slide up and down more easily but i think you will need to get the window open a bit to grease the tracks.

 

Crazywolfie i have a 86 truck with power windows. Both windows opens about 4 inches and that is all. The pass switch was replaced with a toggle switch and the driver switch does not work the pass side. The drivers window will fall all the way down into the door. Any ideas what i can do? Thanks

 

have you greased the track? if not it could make it impossible for the motor to open or close the window beyond a certain point. i know i have manual windows on my trucks but when i first got my 81 it was almost impossible to open and close the windows before i greased the tracks. i am guessing someone might of hot wired your window in the passenger side.
