Default Wiper fluid system.

I have an 87 W250. I just replaced all the wiper linkage bushings and am addressing the wiper reservoir now. Does anyone else have a melted corner of the reservoir? I want to replace or fix it but not if it melts again, any ideas? Or input at all.

I used a Permatex plastic tank repair kit. It was 11 bucks at Advanced. It is a small fiberglass square and some epoxy resin. I cleaned the corner that was melted and applied the fix. It was easy to do and cures in about 30 minutes. I gave it an hour then put the pump and screen back in installed it all and bam. I have a wiper system again. Although the left line hits below the wiper. So is everyones wiper hitting at the same point are what? Any help will be thankful.
