I have a Dodge 350 Dually diesel. The oil pressure gauge stopped working, but the idiot light still works. Is this a common problem and what is the probable fix. It's one owner 100,000 mile truck that is used infrequently. For years the gauge has been somewhat erratic.

 

Knowing the year and engine always helps but usually this problem is the sending unit.
