Default 1985 Ram 100

I just bought a Dodge Ram 100....1985. It has a 225 6 cylinder in it. I want to change that and put at least a 318 in it maybe a 360. I am new to this but want to learn. Is this going to be a hard swap. I knmow I will have to change the trans as well. Am I going to have to change the rear end as well? And what about the motor mounts?

One last thing ....should I just buy a crate engine , or find a old one and build it my self?

The MP crates are stupid expensive now, I'd go with a rebuilt one personally. And don't bother with the 318 unless you've already got one - the 360 will be the same amount of work to put in and they don't cost any more. I imagine you will have to get new motor mounts among other things. What tranny does it have? Which rear end? What are you planning on doing with it?
