Default v6 5 speed on 318?

ok so i know of a dodge dakota with a 318 in it...but it has the v6 5 speed trans....its all bolted up an such...

will this work ok? if so i can get it to put behind my 86 d100

it might work. you would most likely have to measure the length of the transmission to see if it is the same. if it is the same i do not see why it would not work. otherwise you might have to find the correct length drive shaft or have a drive shaft cut and welded for your need.

ok i did some more research an it should all work...but i do belive that dakota is a hydro clutch...

so here more questions...

will my crossmember work,will dakota clutch/brake pedals fit,and will a newer(98) 318 work in my truck...it will be converted to carb

nvm my intake an header wont fir the new motor apparently....and the trans is about 6 inches short then my 727

LA intake manifolds won't fit a magnum engine. you would have to get a new intake manifold to convert it to carb. you would also need a electric fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator.
