hey all,my 93 d 150 5.2 ,dash lights, and possible all my lights have a slight flicker to them when at idle in gear. i had a problem with the battery, bad cell,so i replaced it. tomarrow i will pull the cables, alt. and replace them.
does anyone think this will cure the problem?? could the voltage regulator in the alt. be on its way out?? thank you

have you checked the ground connections? have you check the voltage at the battery with the truck running and the lights on?

have you check the voltage at the battery with a multi meter to see if it is fluctuating? have you tried running a ground wire straight from the battery to the lights? if running a ground wire straight to the light makes no difference then maybe you need to install some relays.

i just don't see how it could cause it to flicker. you still haven't answered the previous questions. i know you changed the ground but did you check the grounds to the body. there is usually a ground from the battery to the rad support. lights are usually grounded to the body.
