Default NEW TO DODGES and having problems

I got ahold of a 92 dodge ram 3/4 ton pick up with a 5.9 mtor off of my neighbor ,its a beautiful truck very clean ,the old guy had it in a barn out back and started it regularly .now that i have it and started to drive it it has developed an issue ,it starts and runs and idles great .as soon as you put it in gear and step on the gas it pops back through the carb and falls on its face . i replaced fuel filter and still does the same .i can hear the in the tank pump going to beat the band and have had a similar problem with a yukon still pumping with intermitant pressure .has anyone had a similar problem looking for small stuff before i do a pump and this is my first dodge truck so i am not firmilar with them yet .thanks

Welcome to the forum. Some 92's used TBI (throttle body injection) and some used MPFI (multi port fuel injection), which is yours? Did it suddenly develop this or did it happen over time? Have your checked your timing?

Look down into the throttle body and check the spray pattern at the base of each injector. It should be a cone shaped fine mist with no gaps or streams and each should touch the sides of the throat. Low ambient light and a flashlight helps show the spray.

So I take it by saying that it "just developed the problem" that you were able to drive the truck for a while without this problem. Correct?
