Can you change a 727 2wd into a 4wd? If you can how hard is it and how long will it take? Any stores sell kits for this?

I think you would need to bolt on a transfer case adapter, and install a new tailshaft.

 

You have to take off the extension housing and then yes you need a transfer case adapter and short 4x4 tailshaft.....kits? there has got to be a blown up 4x4 trans somewhere for cheap, or check with a tranny shop for used parts
