Default Ram back together

I am in the process of reassembling my 1985 Ram. For some reason the hood isn't lining up correctly. On the passenger side in the back the hood is about 1/4" high. The slots in the hinges that bolt to the fender are as low as it can go. So I am stumped I can't figure out why the hood is still high.

Mine is like that also. If not mistaken you can lower the bolts on the fender where the hinges is at

Prop the front of the hood up with a stick and loosen the hinge bolts. This should allow you to force the hinge lower using your hands and body weight.

The hing bolts are as low as they can go on the hinge. I put the cowl on and the hood is level with that. It looks like the fender needs to come up. But since the hood bolts to the fender anything I do with the fender will move the hood also.

I did a frame off resto on my 1986, I am not saying this is why you have a problem but when I did mine there was spacers that were in between the fender and the cab, the spacers looked like a square with a slot cut out of them (picture a square pac man) the bolt at the top of the fender had these stacked inbetween the fender and where it bolted to the cab raising the fender to line up with the rear of the hood, so have a look and see if you can loosen off the bolt and use some of these to correct the height? just a suggestion.

Is that where those go. I had a couple of them and couldn't remember where they went. I used a couple of fender washers in the same spot. I finally figured it out and got them where I wanted them. Just had to play around with the thickness of the different shims.
