Default torque conv.clutch relay

have had my 93 d150 5.2 since sep. 09.
i just now noticed there is no torque converter clutch relay, it runs perfect shifts perfect, will not having that relay there affect anything??
the build sheet says it has a lock-up torque converter, why would someone take this relay out and not replace it?? should i replace it??
do i need it?

The lock-up converter came out in 1978 for Chrysler. Some are electronically controlled and some are hydraulically controlled by the transmission valve body predicated on vehicle speed. My 89 has a lock-up converter with no relay.
