Question 96 mag in a 90.

I know there has been alot of threads like this but i was wondering what would i have to do to put the motor from a 96 1500 in my 90 150. i want to keep the 96 motor the way it is. no carb swap. if some people could tell me that would be greatly appreciated. thanks

in order to do this you would almost need the entire wiring harness out of an 96. when i say entire i mean all the wires under the hood and in the cab and the computer that is under the hood. you may also need the transmission that is attached to the engine because i think they are computer controlled unless the engine is coming out of something that is a standard transmission. then it might be ok to hook it up to your old transmission. if you do decide to do this you should make sure to repair the plenum on the magnum engine before you install it. it would be way easier to replace it when you have the engine out than it would be in the truck. there is a guy on ebay that sells the aluminum plenum pans for about half 1/3 the price of Hughes engines and then you just have to buy your own gasket of choice
