Default 1996 Ram 5.9 overheating

I have a 1996 Dodge 1500 with a 5.9 liter gas engine. It is running a little hot while driving. I have replaced the thermostat, flushed the engine and replaced the radiator. It is still running at about 215 to 220. When I stop the engine it over heats and fills up the overflow. It seems to run at normal heat when I have the heater on high but no hot air is coming out of the vents.

The water pump is working fine.

Any suggestions?

sounds like you may have some air in there heater core. which would prevent the air from coming out of the heater box hot. you would get more help if you posted in the 2nd gen section.

I would look at the water pump. Is the radiator getting hot? Can you see water flowing in the radiator tank when it reaches operating temp?
