lift
Here's a link to SkyJacker Suspension information page. It shows and explains many of the terms you need to familiarize yourself with. In fact, TruckAddOns has a sale right now and free shipping. You might be able to do the back one weekend and the front on the next. With some good instruction and mechanically inclined, you could do the back in one full day and the front in a full day. I remember the shop your talking about on base when I was active duty but I can't remember the name of it. They had a fee to store a vehicle in the yard at ours. Your only talking about a week. If you do the back first, it may be awkward but still driveable with a 4" lift. The trick is to be prepared with what you need. Heck, if you work around the motorpool, make friends with a mechanic friend to help you out or a mechanically inclined acquaintance. Upgrade the shocks and go with the rear blocks for now. Extra 3 bills and you can always upgrade later if you choose. The factory used blocks. Limited off-road use anyways. Compare Rancho, SkyJacker, SuperLift and Rough Country. There may be more. Don't be afraid to email them directly either.http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/s...nformation.htm
I guess I could look into doing it back then front or something. If I just keep blocks in the back (there is already the factory then an extra) then I could just leave them be. Although I like the idea of new leaf springs in the back aswell. If I did leave the blocks, would the added block's height be considered how much the back is lifted or do you include the factory block as well?
On a side note, are there any good websites that have alot of parts for these older trucks. (not just like general parts but specialty stuff, stuff you cant get at your local auto parts store) Ive seen a few for like basic stuff. But I hear alot about Mopar altho I can only find new mopar stuff.

Best bet would be to email the manufacturer of the lift. They would know your application and could tell you for sure.I would guess that the extra block is aftermarket. Question is if the front spring is too. If you need taller, then maybe 6" should be considered. What is the total height of each block? I would think that a new kit would have one block per side to replace the factory one. I'm sure there is someone on this site that has done a 4" lift on a W150 that can let you know.

@sigun
One block is about 2.5 inches, and the other is about 3.5 inches.
I doubt the springs or anything other than stock.
Most trim pieces you will have to find them in junk yards, other Dodge owners, or eBay. You can still get wheel well opening chrome moldings for some years from Rock Auto and other places.
Outside door handles are available for most model years (www.rockauto.com)
Other items like door panels, interior trim, etc is all going to be used unless you stumble across someone with some NOS pieces.
If you post specifically what you need others on here or other boards might have what you need.

So Ive looked into Skyjacker and they seem pretty legit. Read thru the instructions they have and it seems very thorough and Im thinking I should be able to do it ok. Sounds like I will need a couple things for the steering but that looks like it.
I looked at Rough Country as well and they are much cheaper than Skyjacker. Ive heard people use both but it seems Skyjacker is the better known. Is Skyjacker gonna be that much better? I want to make sure what I get is good but no need to waste money.
Also shocks, it mentioned upgrading shocks. Is that worth it?

I have superlift springs on the front of my '72 and couldn't be happier. if i were you i would look into their 5" kit. They build good quality stuff for not a lot of money. 4 wheel parts has the kit on sale right now.
