Question Aspirator Check Valve

Is there a way to remove the check valve from the aspirator.
To me it does not look like it and if it does not come off,
im thinking if i can find a new check valve that will work i can cut the old check valve off and run a small hose from the check valve to the aspirator.

P.S. sorry if i spelled aspirator incorrect

Well since no one has replied maybe im explaining this wrong
- the piece im talking about runs from my smog pump to both of the manifolds. The pipe ends up making a "Y" shape where it splits to the manifolds. What im trying to figure out is if there are universal checkvalves that will work for my truck so i can cut the one i have off and then run a small hose from the check valve to the "Y" pipe. (If that won't cause a problem)

TY in advance for any input

I don't believe it is a problem with the way you are explaining it unless you are calling the system by the wrong name. Only later model trucks meant for Canada have the aspirator system so most people may have never seen it. The aspirator valve can be replaced by disconnecting the air hose that goes to the air cleaner and then unscrewing the valve from the aspirator tube. Soaking the threads with a good penetrating oil over night is usually necessary to prevent destruction of the tube or valve.

I’m sorry I don’t have any input, but I am experiencing the same issues when filling the tank. I just purchased a 2006 Dakota 4.7L and am following your thread. I had no clue what the problem could be so thanks for posting

You are following a 13 year old thread! Not to mention in the wrong forum.
