Default 1990 D20(250) Stalls at Idle

I'm looking at buying this 1990 D20 with utility bed. It is diffidently not in that great of shape. Has 108,000 miles, and has alot of rust. I'd get it as a project truck or parts truck. I have a Plumbing company so I could use it.

It has the 5.9 V8 360 in it. Drives pretty well, but it stalls at idle after running for about 5-10 minutes. Any reason it would be doing that? Clogged carb? egr valve? etc.

some pictures of the engine. I'm not familiar with the 5.9.

You do not have a carb. You have TBI (throttle body injection). It could be a lot of things. From the info provided so far I would suspect it is a system that the computer ignores until warm up. (EGR system, coolant sensor, or some electronics breaking down under heat) Have you checked for trouble codes?

ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS Dodge OBD1 Pre 96

1. Cycle the ignition key ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON within 5 seconds. To cycle the ignition key ON means to turn it only as far as it takes to get the radio to come on. It does not mean to turn the engine on.

2. Count the number of times the "check engine" lamp on the instrument panel flashes on and off. The number of flashes represents the code. There is a slight pause between the flashes representing the first and second digits of the code. Longer pauses separate individual codes. For example, flash-flash-flash [pause] flash-flash represents the code 32.
