Anyone have manual steering on their truck? How do you like it while towing?

 

manual steering is not too bad if you are moving but if you are stopped if can be difficult to steer. i would hate to not have power steering if i was towing a trailer.

 

How would you convert it from power to manual steering?

 

take the belt off the power steering pump and you pretty much have manual steering.

 

Power steering boxes are a lot harder to turn without the power steering pump than a manual box. Power boxes aren't designed to run without power steering pump.

 

I agree ive owned a car that can factory no power steering and i didnt think it was that hard to turn but my last car the power steering didnt work and it was a b**** to move if you werent driving. So has anyone found a manual box that will work?
