Default overdriive ??

was on way to work this morn and i let off the gas pedal, going down the off ramp the overdrive went off.the OD button also lit up.
on my way home,in traffic at about 40 mph. the OD button lit up,and i felt it as in the rpms of the engine went up.
i had this happen 1 time about a year ago,i changed the throttle position sensor. did not have a problem since then.
what else would cause it to kick out of OD?? thank you

Ghosts? Did it go back in? Maybe its some sort of a safety feature if the temperature gets too hot, or fluid gets too low. No experience here, just a theory.

Were they electronically controlled in '93? If so, it may be a dirty governer prssure sensor. There are thousands of threads on the woes of 46re's in the 2nd gen section.

had no problems today on my 55 round trip to work.
this may sound odd but i did have my a/c system empty when this happened. filled my a/c cause the new compressor from last year took a crap. so i put new comp. and filled it last night. today it did not kick out of OD.
