'82 Dodge Truck Door Handle Replacement Project
The chrome on my exterior door handles has blistered and the passenger side handle sticks so I am thinking of replacing the handles. Junkyard handles are no better than mine, so I am looking at some aftermarket handles.
It looks like there might be three different brands of handles out on the web, going for $20 - $35 each and one site sells OEM handles, $150 each. And, there are even kits that include door handles, gaskets and attaching hardware.
Has anyone on the forum replaced their handles with aftermarket handles and if so, what were your thoughts on the quality, installation, etc. Do they typically come with the gaskets and all the hardware? One review noted that the person had to use a washer to make it fit.
