Default Speedometer Instrument Cluster

I think I need a new instrument cluster. Heres why, I thought my problems could be at first loose wiring, I pulled the cluster and everything seemed to be in order. All the gauges work except for the speedometer. I have done the speed sensor on the rear of the transmission, that didn't help, I also purchased a new gear for the transmission becasue I thought it was gone when I checked on the speed sensor in the rear. The old gear was laying in the bottom of the rear tail shaft undamaged. I re-installed it with the sensor, the speedo worked for about a mile then quit. I brought it back home and checked to make sure the gear was in place and it was. I also pulled the sensor off and spun it by hand with the engine running and couldn't make the speedo work, oddly what did happen was the engine speed went up as I spun the sensor. (someone plase expalin that one to me)

Anyway, I have a D250 thats my dads I may swap the cluster and confimr its actualy in the Speedo itself. Does anyone have a line on a 1990 1993 Instrument cluster?

Thanks

These dodge clusters have issues with the printed circuits where the solder breaks around the connections.

I would check out the wiring to the dash and specifically the connectors at the dash.

You can always check www.car-part.com to find one.

The reason your idle changed when you spun the sensor is the computer sensed that the vehicle was speeding up so it added fuel.
