Default radio

Does anyone know of a radio that I can get that has a new face mounting piece that will fit in the dash of a 85 dodge 100. I need it to be new enough that I can hook subs up to it. I am putting a speaker in the dash but theyre wasn't ever any other speakers in it.Where are good places to put the other speakers. I would like at least 3 speakers and then the subs will be behind the seat. any ideas for a radio or where to put speakers would be nice.

i think you can get a kit to stick a aftermarket stereo in there. i put speakers in the same box as a sub but i hooked it all up as a speaker.

Default Speakers

In my 1992 I have 6x9 in the door, and I have 4x10 in the cab corners. I know my truck is different than yours.

Also in a previously owned dodge, I put two 6x9 's in boxes behind the seat. Not sure how much room you have with subs or how bg of subs your putting in.

Also on your radio question any auto parts store should have the kit to put an after market radio install kit, or a best buy.

Just My two cents

Check out Crutchfield.

I have a '82 D-350 and purchased from Crutchfield an exact fit in-the-dash stereo speaker, stereo and the faceplate. All purchased last December. Even though the stereo is no longer available, there are others like it. You might have to tell them you have a Ram Charger, not the D series. As for the speaker, they have an exact fit stereo speaker for the dash that sounds pretty good. No need to drill or cut for the install.

Crutchfield is a great place to deal with and they include the necessary brackets, harnesses, etc to fit the radio into the dash.

I also have 6x9's in the doors and I also have 6x9's in the cab corners where the factory speakers were by modifying the factory brackets and a small powered sub.
