Indy Heads has a good looking 360. Specs are what Im looking for and seems more likly to be true than some and not a bad price aswell.
Went to change my brakes and they didnt need changing at all.
Spoke to immen engines. too
Sounds like they can put me in the upper 300s/lower 400s for HP and TQ for around 6400 dollars with most of the goodies

Update:
Talked to the guy at the local machine shop (good guy and has been very helpful) some more. Showed him the build of the Indy 360 and for the price and the hp and tq rating he says its a good deal and he cant do much better himself.
With that said Im going to start talking with Indy Heads more seriously about ordering an engine from them and probably getting the Dodge dealership to install.
Havnt seen or asked this yet but will the stock TBI for my 318 work with a 360. Im really nervous about switching to a carb and would like to keep it fuel injected but every motor is for a carb

Captain
you would be better off with the 360 TBI and computer for that engine...but the engine may (probably) never run up to its potential due to the limitations of the factory TBI\computer set up.
You would be better off going to a bolt-on FI system (FAST or MSD) or a do-it-yourself (MegaSquirt) system to keep it fuel injected.
Just keep in mind that to install either the non OEM fuel injection or carburetor you need to take into account the addition of a voltage regulator, ignition system, and if you have AC and\or cruise it will need rewiring as well.
I seriously doubt your local Dodge dealer will get involved with anything more than a "stock" type engine swap. They will not want to get involved in all of the rewiring, modifications, etc with switching to a carb or aftermarket FI.

Well. Ill have to talk to them about that. I have AC and Cruise although neither currently work. Originally Posted by sls001

Probably will end up just going with the carb then
Record Breaker
Wait, but you have a magnum motor, not a TBI, so you should be able to run the same computer setup as the 1994-1996 2nd gen guys, right?

Yeah its a magnum.
Idk im confused now
Every time I turn around it gets more expensive. Got Indy to ship me the engine will be about 600 dollars and then if the dodge dealership does the swap its 2400 dollars. Gonna look into other places but Im sure it will still be plenty expensive as is.
Also another question comes up. So I switch to carb with the 360 and then what exactly happens to the computer? The computer tell the transmission when to change gears right? So if the computer doesnt control the fuel any more can it still control gear changes without any problems?

Captain
The computer only tells the OD when to kick in and out so you are going to have to determine how your going to deal with that. A toggle switch to turn it off an on or this kit:

Don't forget you need to do some re-wiring:
You have an electric fuel pump in the tank so you will need to by-pass the ASD relay to run the pump and plumb in a fuel pressure regulator to get the fuel pressure down to 4-7lbs for the carburator. You could run a mechanical pump but you will need to remove the electric pump and extend the fuel pickup.
You need to get a distributor and ignition box and wire it in.
You need to get a voltage regulator and wire it in (computer controls the VR currently)
If you want your AC to work you need to do some rewiring there as well.

This is alot more complicated then I though it was gonna be.
Gonna be putting everything on hold for awhile. Thinking about getting a jeep.
Or might do the re-gearing first
