Default Lug Pattern Swap

I have a 1991 D150 and was wondering if you could swap the older rotors from a 81-84 with the 5 on 4.5 pattern and the axles from a truck with the same rearend? I would like to do this so I can find wheels easier.

so you got a 91 and you want to swap it to a 5x4.5" bolt pattern? to me that makes no sense at all. the 5x5.5" bolt pattern is used on a lot of trucks and should be a lot easier to find rims for than 5x4.5" bolt pattern.

The guy I bought my '85 from did this swap, he said there was more choice for aftermarket wheels. He didnt swap the axles though, he swapped the whole rear end. Planning on doing this swap from my '85 to my '88 Ramcharger as well.

Default Lug Swap

There is lots of 5 on 5.5 if you like wheels that look like they are for a 4wd. I prefer the smaller pattern so I could swap wheels with my 67. I have torque thrust II's on it and I also have a couple sets of police wheels and some weld draglites. I guess its what you prefer. I like the muscle/sport truck look and there is nowhere near as many options with the larger lug pattern.
