I plan to weld the rear diff in my '72 soon after I get home (end of this week). I Haven't decided if I will do the front or not, but I would only consider it because the axle in it right now isn't going to be in it much longer. If I don't like the rear end being welded I will put a real locker in it. But since you are trying to 1) not break stuff, and 2) sell it later, I would not recommend it.
