93 dodge 350 transmission slips around corners only in OD
hello all. figure i would place a thread on here to get an idea of what the heck is going on with my 93 dodge W350 4x4 automatic transmission....Well,truck has orig 44K miles.ive owned the truck for 2 yrs now with no problems..lately,in overdrive at the normal speed limit,i feel and hear the trans slip only making left hand turns at 35-50 miles when im at low rpms around the corners..if i hammer down around corners at 60-70mph, trans doesnt slip out.. when it does slip out at normal speeds,i have to straighten out the truck for it to get back in gear. When i use the push button OD selector at the dash with OD in off position,i dont have no problems.. Umm.. im not a trans guy and just curious if someone here may have had this happen to them and what should i expect at a transmisson shop? all my fluids are full, i never changed the trans filter or fluid...Should i try changing the filter and fluids or just take it to a shop? just a little google searching i came across some threads saying it can be an overdrive band adjustment or transmission pump problem...Any heads up would be appriciated! also, what is the best transmission fluid to use for the gas job (360) automatic W350 4x4? thank you guys.
Thank you very much.i will change out fluid with atf4 and replace cartridge/filter..Q? would you know how many quarts of fluid these use on a fluid change? bare with me,i dont have an owners manual to tell me the qrts it requires..thanks again
