Default 83 d150 318 4BBL auto

I have a 1983 dodge ram d150 318/727 140,000 miles 4BBL carter thermoquad carb, sometimes when I'm driving down the road the pickup will jerk as if it misses and when I get to town and if say I drive several places and shut the pickup on and off a few time when I go through dips it sputters and almost dies, but if I come straight to town and take every dip there it won't do it, it only does it when you turn it off and on, when I first bought the pickup it always wanted to die a various times. But would always start back up, so I checked and replaced a lot of parts an it finally stopped I don't truly know what part caused the problem because I replaced many things, but I'm wandering if something isn't quite right still and if I can get some answers, it also has dual magneti pickup coils in the distributor, this is the only problem I have it's very minor but I'd like to fix it, any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you.

Check all grounds. Bad grounds are a common problem and often show up as intermittent problems. With the truck running jiggle all wiring to check for a bad wire/connection.
