74 dodge adventurer sport master cylinder questions
Thanks for the answer on gas mileage, I got my master cylinder on yesterday and it fixed the brake problems, new one arose she wouldn't stay running without pouring gas down the carb, I put two gallons in the tank, which had it run whe. If first got it, but it sat for 12 years and I had it sit for a 5 months, it's got a few problems here and there but I think it'll be worth it when I'm done. Thank you for all your comment with my master cylinder questions.

Cool man, now you dont have to worry about running it in a ditch! LOL

Yea, After sitting that long with no fuel stabilizer, what used to be gas in the carb bowl & fuel tank turned to varnish!! just take the carb off, and try first to use a whole can of carb cleaner on it, put the carb cleaner straw in the little holes (POINTED AWAY FROM YOUR FACE.) and blast away... drop the carb bowl and clean any gunk & debris out & put back on....And depending on how much fuel is in the fuel tank now? if its more than 1/4 tank, you will have to drop the fuel tank and dump all the old gas out....If its less than 1/4 tank? you might can just top it off with some fresh fuel and she should be good to go.....
Although you might have to have the carb rebuilt....The accelerator pump diafram most likly is dry-rotted......good luck & keep us posted on your progress....

Iwas sooo mean to my 74, it had a radiator leak and I would just drive it until it seized up, go drink a couple and go back out and start it right up. Young and dumb back then. I hope I dont get put in mopar jail for that, statue of limitation is up I think
Thanks, I'll keep ya posted, my full attention isn't on it quite yet, it's divided between it and an 83 ram, right now working on painting the top and bottom color on it two tone, so far I got the top of cab, top of fenders and the hood, and the top of the bed rails, the white in the middle is still decent, its never been buffed or polished and once I do that it'll put a shine on it, the 83's gotta 318/727 trans, 4 BBL carter, 2wd and a 3.55 rear end, it'll put you in your seat, and it got 15 mpg, pulling a 79 dodge on a trailer throught hills, I'm pretty proud of it.
