missing cig lighter

My truck is missing the cig lighter and was wondering if when new did ALL cars come with this back then. Not sure if the wire is there or not. Truck is a 88 d100 thanks

do you mean the cig lighter or just the port? i have a feeling the lighter is optional but the port came in just about every vehicle ever made.

When you open the ash tray the whole lighter is gone

The feed wire was in all of the wiring harnesses. A replacement socket and lighter are cheap and readily available.
