Default First gen 5-speed.

So I was reading my owners manual for the '88 ram/power ram/ramchargers the other day, and it talked about what fluid to use in the 5 speed. Im wondering if anyone knows what transmission this might be? The manual didnt give and numbers like it did for the 4 speed (ie np435), so it made me curious. I know ive seen one in a 1st gen before, idk any of the specs on the truck though other than that it only had 1st and reverse :P
Anyways, to sum up the post, does anyone know the name of this tranny? I didnt think dodge had a 5 speed till the cummins and the nv3500/nv4500.

I did know about the 5 speed getrag. I was just unaware that they had a 5 speed for the gassers in the late '80s.

i think most people refer to them as a 4 speed with overdrive even tho you have 5 speeds.

Plus one for the getrag. Thats my best guess.
-wolfie: I think that technically, it is a 4 w/OD but the ones that call it that are the same ones that say "Its a four plus a granny." IMO a gear is a gear. Ratio or usefullness doesnt decide if it qualifies as a gear or not. Maybe its just me...
