I was home sick yesterday and spent a rather enjoyable afternoon reading through the 1st Gen forum and already put it to work. I have a 1986 D-150 318 short bed that I am fixing up as a low budget hotrod and a 1990 D-150 long box that I bought for a parts truck but that runs so well its now my daily parts hauler and like most the whistling from my vent windows (on both trucks) was driving me nuts.

The previous owner of the 1990 D-150 had used duct tape to try and lessen the noise but today I spent about a half hour using the directions provided by pumbu on the DIY sticky and poof...tight vent wings and no more noise.

Many thanks and I think I will be hitting these forums some more to see what other inspiration can be had.
