I hate smog haha. Up here, technically if it came with cats its illegal to run without, but no body checks and theres no smog tests. Smog pump is already gone, has true duals with some mustang muffs, and I have a pair of headers but there for a 2wd. Your '91 would have an OD tranny though right? I still got the 727, revs about 2,700 at 110km/h.

 

Between my girls dad and grandfather we found some carb problems. Tuned it a little bit and it idles and starts a bit better, its got a vacuum leak and 2 lines with bolt/screws in them, the dizzy advance isnt hooked up to a positive vacuum line like it should be, and the bowls are leaking. Gonna try fix the lines and see if it does much.

 

So this has been a prob pree much since I bought the truck, but I dont have any low beams. The bulbs are good but there isnt any power going to the low side. Iv had a couple times where theyd work and then quit right away again, so im thinking the dimmer switch or a broken wire somewhere? Is there a way to test the switch and see?

 

is your dimmer switch in the column or on the floor? does your high beams work with no issues?

 

Got the column mounted dimmer switch. High beams work perfect, there all iv been using for the past 5 months or so. Havnt been beamed once either. When the low beams were starting to go, sometimes id put them on and theyd work and then go out just sitting there. Which is why im kinda thinking a wire or the headlight switch?
