Default Odd thing and place to steal....

So I am not SURE but think my LED back up lights were stolen day before yesterday at the LAUNDROMAT! I installed a small set of LED arrays on the back bumper of my W150 about two months ago. I rarely drive this truck to town. It is basically a ranch/winter snow truck. I drove it to a small town East of me to do laundry night before last and noticed yesterday my back up LEDs were stolen. They were very light so installed with double stick tape, and easy to steal I guess. I am glad they were cheap! Who ever stole them unplugged them first and pulled the brackets off the bumper. Only the wires hanging and the tape remnants are still there. I hate thieves and wish i would have caught them.

That is odd. Maybe you should run the ground for the horn to the bumper and try it again . . . or however it would work to trigger the horn on contact. I'm not in an electrical engineering mood right now.

if it is not bolted down someone will most likely steal it. i also hate thieves but that just seems to be the way things are. i know i bought some cheap backup light for my truck and i have them bolted to the bumper just so that if someone wants them they must want them bad and so they will not just walk away with them. heck i think the wiring and connectors cost more than the lights i used but it makes the lights brighter.

Its a shame it has come to that. I was working on my transfer case in an advanced auto parking lot in Denver and I watched some guy steal my shop rags out of the bed of my truck. I figured he was going for the toolbox or something, but no... It was the 99 cent roll of shop rags.

yep, it is worse since the economy got bad too. I hear more about things being stolen in the city than ever before. Good thing it still hasn't hit up by where I live, although where this happened was in a small town about 20 miles away from my house in the mountains.

There was someone stealing in my neighborhood. Instead of taking my $400 cb radio, my $200 fishing pole, or my brand new spare tire, they took my $20 pellet gun. Not only do we have more criminals now, we have dumber ones...

Yep, crims are stupid and always have been but they seem to be getting even dumber. I got a Honda Civic in trade for rent owed to me from a couple ex roommates. They had it sitting in their apt complex before they moved in to my extra bedroom. It got burglarized one night and all the dumb thieves took was the stock stereo that didn't work, and HALF a set of tapes that turned out to be religious tapes! In the process of stealing 50 dollars worth of stuff, they broke a 200 dollar window, and trashed the entire surround on the console where they broke the radio free. Plus, the door was unlocked....they didn't even need to break the window.
