it sounds like it might be bad i if the brakes stay engaged when the booster is plugged in. could try asking the guys on RCC what they think.

Thanks, going to RCC! I did consult with Scotty Kilmer who does auto repair videos 0n u tube and he said the same thing. I just want to be sure before I order a new booster. Thanks Again..Augie

Rekindling an old post. So I'm still working on this truck. We parked it for a few years because we just couldn't get it to run correctly. I have that problem solved with an aftermarket throttle body FI made by FiTech. I'm still having a problem with FRONT brakes not releasing though. This is what I have done so far. New brake booster and master cylinder,new calipers, both front brake lines. Verified old booster was leaking internally. The dash brake light will still not go off and when I drove the truck the brakes would not release enough and seemed to be applying by themselves to the point I could barely climb hills and could not shift into 4 th gear. When I shut engine off and let truck sit for a while the brakes released. I am going to try disconnecting ground wire on proportion valve and see if brake light goes off and do a four wheel brake bleed. Other than that what could I be missing here?
